Kyu Sung Woo Architects' winning design, "Forest of Light," is conceived as a park in the city that places the majority of the program in the ground, sheltered by a green roof. Central to the design is the use of natural light through a system of courtyards, crystalline skylights and a stepped terrace open to the sky. The skylights provide daylight, ventilation and animate the street level park. Courtyards and the terrace provide program components with light, air and easy access for visitors and occupants of the facility.

MTMA is working with KSWA as a special architectural consultant, with a focus on management and technical support on the ACC project
