Winnick Hall
Skirball Cultural Center
Los Angeles, California
The 20,500 square-foot third phase of the Skirball Cultural Center campus, Winnick Hall provides a new gallery for the museum of the existing Skirball Cultural Center and expanded support facilities. A glass link at the third level connects the current museum galleries to the new Changing Gallery, containing extensive space for changing exhibits. The second level provides a Discovery Center and expanded Children’s Galleries, which incorporate indoor and outdoor interactive displays and connect to an amphitheatre, set into the hillside behind the building. The lower level contains administrative offices, museum storage and a green room and support facilities for the outdoor amphitheatre.
