PowderHouse Arts Center
Somerville, Massachusetts

The PowderHouse Arts Center is an adaptive reuse of the Powderhouse Community School Building in the Davis/Teele Square neighborhood of Somerville.

The project proposes a mixed use complex consisting of up to 110 residential units - a mix of rental housing and artist live-work studio spaces - a series of indoor and outdoor civic spaces available for use by the public, a small retail component and a public park. All required private parking is provided within the lowest level of the existing school building.

Landscaped roof gardens and the central courtyard provide private green spaces for residents.
